Dr. Luu Thi Hong –Vice President of VIBM delivered the opening speech at the seminar.
In her opening remarks at the seminar, Dr. Luu Thi Hong emphasized that the Net Zero goal is an inevitable trend for all countries and industries, including the construction sector. At the COP 26 Conference, Vietnam set a target to reduce CO2 emissions to zero by 2050. To achieve this goal, organizations and businesses in the construction sector need to adopt strategies for product innovation, technology improvement, and process transformation to increase productivity, reduce input costs, utilize alternative fuels, recycle materials to replace natural raw materials, and implement new technologies to shorten construction time, minimize direct labor costs, and reduce raw materials and fuel expenses. As a national scientific research institute supporting state management and policy formulation in the field of building materials, VIBM is always ready to support organizations and businesses through trade activities, information exchange, consulting, technology transfer, testing and certification of green building materials.
During the seminar, Dr. Le Van Quang introduced SVIBM, highlighting its prominent activities in scientific research, technology transfer, testing, and quality certification of building materials. Recently, SVIBM has actively connected with Southern businesses, implementing various cooperative development activities. SVIBM has also placed special emphasis on evaluating and certifying the production and products of green building materials, advising businesses on improving processes and technologies to achieve Net Zero goals.
The seminar featured presentations on smart industrial park construction, smart grid solutions in industrial parks, and carbon emission reduction strategies. The topics discussed attracted the interest of attendees and media representatives, leading to numerous questions and discussions about recommendations and solutions for building smart industrial parks.
At the end of the seminar, the Organizing Committee awarded certificates of appreciation to the agencies, organizations, and businesses that participated and contributed to the success of the seminar. This effort helped create a ripple effect and foster connections within the scientific and business communities towards achieving the Net Zero goal. It was noted that this is the first time SVIBM, along with several clubs and businesses, has organized such a seminar. In addition to the stated goals, the event aimed to provide a platform for entrepreneurs and businesses to unite in overcoming challenges, proactively seek markets, develop brands and products, form joint ventures, and maintain stable business development.
