After a period of launching the program, with the guidance of the Party Committee, VIBM’s leadership, the Youth Union of the Ministry of Construction, and the dedication of VIBM’s members, volunteers, and the generous contributions of individuals and organizations, the “Warm Spring of Love” Program continued its journey of sharing compassion with areas still facing many difficulties across the country. As a result, the Youth Union of VIBM, along with the Youth Union of IBST, the Youth Branch of the Department of Construction Management, and the Youth Branch of the Construction Newspaper, donated 207 gift packages containing essential goods, educational supplies, blankets, and warm clothing to over 200 underprivileged preschool, elementary, and secondary school students. They also provided 2 semi-industrial water filtration systems, 5 sets of early childhood educational materials, built and installed a rural lighting project with 35 solar-powered lamps along a 3.5 km road, and 10 sanitary latrines, with a total mobilized fund exceeding 300 million VND.
Mr. Thao Mi Lau, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Lung Thau Commune, stated that Lung Thau is a particularly disadvantaged commune. It has 491 households, of which 351 are poor or near-poor, accounting for more than 72%, with the majority being H'Mong ethnic people. The lives of the people, especially the children, are still very challenging. The gifts given to the policy families and students today will bring warmth and encouragement, helping families and children to overcome difficulties.
Alongside the gift-giving activities, to successfully implement the Government's project of planting 1 billion trees and the goal of planting 100 million new trees set by the Central Youth Union for the 2021-2025 period, the Youth Union of VIBM, in coordination with other units, donated 6,000 trees to the local area to contribute to the restoration of primary forests, development of green areas, environmental protection, and climate change adaptation. This also contributes to the program "For a Green Vietnam" in the near future.
Through the “Warm Spring of Love” program this time, VIBM staff have upheld the beautiful tradition of “sharing what we have,” demonstrating the enthusiasm and volunteer spirit of youth. It also provided an opportunity for VIBM’s youth to grow and develop in their work and lives. The campaign contributed to enhancing social skills, promoting traditional values, ethics, and good lifestyles among the youth.
