Over the past 23 years of the 21st century, Vietnam has become one of the largest producers of building materials in the world. With a “green” development orientation, the growth of BM production must also be aligned with the application of science and technology to reduce the use of natural minerals, maximize the use of industrial by-products, save energy, protect the environment, and create sustainable, eco-friendly building materials that adapt to climate change.
In response to this development trend, as a pioneering institution in the building materials field, VIBM is organizing the International Conference on Building Materials (ICBM 2024) with the theme “Building Materials in the 21st Century” from October 31 to November 3, 2024, at the National Convention Center, Hanoi. The conference aims not only to enhance exchange and cooperation among relevant stakeholders but also to focus on discussing action programs towards the sustainable development of the BM industry in particular and the construction industry in general.
The main topics of the conference include: cement, concrete, refractory materials, paints, building glass, building materials for transportation infrastructure, quality control methods, environmental protection, and waste recycling in the BM industry.
ICBM 2024 will be a forum for researchers, scholars, experts, and policymakers from both international and Vietnamese backgrounds to share research results, experiences, and new perspectives, and to explore the latest scientific and technological advancements applied in the building materials industry.
